Top Notch Beauty Tips To Boost Your Confidence!

Featured in:

The art of beauty is so much more than just simply “putting your face on.” It takes a great deal of skill, attention to detail, and accuracy to really make those products work for your body the way they should. The tips below can help you improve your beauty skills.

Make your nail polish last longer. You can make your nails look like you just had a manicure and last longer by using a base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat. This will provide your nails with a glossy look that will last for at least a few weeks.

Heat your eyelash curler with your blow dryer. Hold your curler in front of your hair dryer for a few seconds. Be sure to check the temperature before using it on your eyelashes because it could burn you. Your eyelashes will curl better with a little heat applied to them.

Before applying mascara, use an eyelash curler to curl your eyelashes. This will result in eyelashes that appear longer and the upward curl will make your eyes appear fresh and rested. Apply the eyelash curler, starting from the base. Then move it slightly toward the end of the lashes and squeeze it again. This should result in a pleasing and natural looking curve.

Renew nail polish with nail polish remover. If your favorite bottle of nail polish is getting a little thick, pour a few drops of nail polish remover into the bottle and shake. It will loosen the polish and thin it out, allowing you to get a few more coats out of it.

Apply eye shadow to seal in eyeliner. When you are making up your eyes, apply your liner before your eye shadow. Then, when applying the shadow, slightly dampen a cotton swab and add some eye shadow. Smooth this over the liner and you will find it lasts much longer.

Apply cream to your eyes every night. The skin around your eyes is delicate, and not as thick as the skin elsewhere on your face. This makes the skin around your eyes more prone to be lined and dry. Keeping the skin moist is a simple solution to that beauty problem.

It does not matter how tired or pressed for time you may be, you should never skip your cleansing rituals. Drier skin benefits from thick, creamy cleansers, whereas oily skin benefits most from cleansing balms, washes, or bars. All skin types can be dulled by buildup of makeup, sweat, and dead skin cells.

Avoid licking your lips. When you constantly lick your lips, rather than become moist, they actually dry out. Try carrying a lip balm or gloss in your pocket or purse, and put it on anytime you feel like doing some licking. You will soon find your lips in beautiful condition.

Remember that drinking plenty of pure water is one of the best ways to stay beautiful. It cleanses your system and helps keep your skin moisturized, your eyes bright, and your joints well padded and flexible. Pure water can be considered a “fountain of youth”. Enjoying plenty of it will keep you beautiful throughout your life.

If you ever find yourself relly under time pressure, here’s a great tip on how to do a quick makeup job. Put some waxy lip balm on your fingertip. Then put a dark eyeliner on top of that. Smear it onto your eyes. Then finish with mascara. Apply lipstick. You’re ready to go!

Whiten your teeth using strawberries. Before a big event or pictures and to instantly whiten your teeth, use the juicy side of a cut strawberry and rub over your teeth. This will help whiten them quickly and easily. This works great if you are unprepared or running low on time.

If have problems with ingrown hairs, make sure you use lotion daily. Apply the lotion right after shaving for the best effect. Ingrown hairs can be caused by having excessively dry skin, so keeping skin moisturized is a must. Having proper moisture in your skin will bring your existing ingrown hairs to the surface, and prevent new ones from happening.

Take a break from heat styling periodically to allow your hair to recover. When you constantly use hot styling tools, they can damage your hair so it is best to give your hair short breaks.

You are very good at applying your makeup and washing it off at the end of the day. Are you as diligent when cleaning your makeup brushes? Chances are, you are not. It is advised to wash your makeup brushes at least once a month using a gentle soap such as baby shampoo. Lather them up gently, rinse, and let them air dry.

Layer your eye color for that glamorous, large eyes effect. Apply a primer to your lids first, smooth foundation on then dust lightly with powder. Afterwards, use highlighting shadow on your eyes’ inner corners. Use an eyeliner pencil and then smudge the pencil. This can help make your eyes look their best!

When you are filing your nails, be sure to only go in one direction. If you go back and forth you are sure to weaken the nail. The stress that this causes will damage the nail plate and make your nails more susceptible to breaking a lot more easily then they will if you go in one direction when filing.

The art of beauty is one that can be enjoyed by everyone, but only those very serious into it will try to perfect their perfect beauty techniques every chance that they get. Now with more beauty knowledge to add to your “bag of tricks,” you can easily become great at it too.
